Emily first got in contact with Freedom of Mind following the loss of a family member through struggles with their mental health. Initially she wanted to raise money for the community interest project by fundraising and getting people talking about the topic of mental health. So she set up a campaign to follow her journey to run the Bristol half marathon.
She was so impressed with the positive change Freedom of Mind is working so hard to create, that when an opportunity to join the team as a Content Creator came up, she went for the role. It was perfect! As an English Language graduate it combined the two things she is so passionate about, promoting conversation, education and change in the way mental health and well-being is perceived in our communities and writing.
Alongside her involvement with of Freedom of Mind, she work full time managing a team. Emily enjoys coaching others to help them reach their goals to fulfil their career aspirations.
To help her de-stress, Emily finds it beneficial to lead a healthy lifestyle (with the odd day off here and there.) She finds there’s nothing better than an early morning run in the outdoors to clear your mind and set you up to take on the day.
