Having suffered from significant anxiety herself, Anna understands how vital it is for people to feel comfortable talking about mental health. Although as a society we’re moving towards de-stigmatising mental illness many people still feel unable to open up about problems and so may not get the help they need. She joined Freedom of Mind to help increase public awareness about mental health and break down barriers to honest, non judgemental discussion, so that people can live happier, more confident lives.
Anna gets her freedom of mind through exercise and creativity. She loves doing art and playing music. She also finds spending time in natural environments very peaceful and often uses mindfulness meditation to keep calm.
